In Q1 2025, CyberRatings.org performed an independent test of the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access against the Security Service Edge (SSE) Threat Protection Methodology v2.1, using Palo Alto Networks’ respective cloud service and Amazon Web Services. The product was thoroughly tested to assess how it handled TLS/SSL 1.2 and 1.3 cipher suites, how it defended against 205 exploits, 6,184 malware samples, and whether any of 1,154 evasions across 37 categories could bypass its protection—all while maintaining a minimal number of false positive alerts.
