During Q4, 2020, an independent test of the Fortinet Fortigate 60F v6.2.3GA build 5546 was performed (Branch 3). The Branch 3 use case is a good reference for smaller installations such as retail outlets, gas stations and restaurants, quality of experience is tested for data traffic, not audio and video. With flexible, robust Zero-Touch Provisioning, the time to create a new configuration was fast; cloning even faster. Deployment was easy, and the product included comprehensive documentation. HTTP Connect times excellent; FTP latency excellent; Emails sent per second excellent; however, when delayed burst was introduced, the performance experienced a degradation. The Rated Throughput performance was good, and Security Effectiveness was very good.
